Well i was actually wondering what people thought about the legalization of marijuana , If you are for the legalization of it or against it, and post your reasons 8)

Just keep on like the crack heads and buy it illegally.

btw: this is a timeless argument. The same question could have easily been asked 40 years ago......................and 40 years from now, when it is still illegal, this question will still be asked.

I want to see some reasons!

I would vote for legalization on the basis that all drugs should be legal and controlled. A crackhead will get crack no matter what, doesn't matter if it is legal or not. Same goes for a meth head or pothead. I would rather see the US tax and control the drug than spend money keeping crackheads in prison. Prison is for people that are dangerous to me and my family. Prison is for violent criminals and theifs. Who is the pothead endangering? How is he hurting the economy? The ONLY reason that a marijuana user hurts our economy is because our government spends money to enforce drug laws. If the laws were turned around he would become a taxable ASSET to the economy instead of a black market drain.

I think that alcohol should be illegal along with marijuana if our government won't change the laws. I see more destruction of property and lives due to alcohol than I have ever seen with cocain and pot combined.

I see what your saying dezfan itll take away crime rate on it but yet it would just be another way for the goverement to tax it and get money and what not

i totally agree with that. I never see "stoned driver causes deaths" in the headlines...i do, however, quite often see "drunk driver causes deaths". not to say that it doesn't happen, but not nearly as often.

Medical use"thumbsup" Studies have shown for cancer it can reduce vomiting and nausea. Just watched an interesting show on HBO about medical use. If anyone in my family was suffering, I would like to see it available.

I honestly couldn't give a crap either way with weed..................I am just a "don't rock the boat" kinda guy and don't see the need for change from it's current state (ie, I know about 100 smokers and don't see them as a thread to anyone, but the rules are the rules).

But honestly, controlled and taxed crack? Fed controlled Meth Stores?

edit: just leaving it as is for now

I must say that crack and meth would not be on my legalize it list if it actually came down to it. Those two cause a lot of mental problems and social deviance. I dont think that throwing people in jail is the answer though. The meth heads will find or make meth no matter what, so what can we really do? They destroy their own lives as sad as it may be. Counseling and support is really the best bet, and it it far cheaper than other methods of dealing with the problem.

Sure people are funny as hel! when their on it but, I dont see a use for it. So I said NO. Never touched a drug in my life except Alcohol, and dont plan on doing drugs either.

By the Way the Marines wont even concider you if you have Used drugs and they do test, before, during and after Basic.

And it is the only alternative to do so?

Under the care of cancer, most meds are available.

From what I understand, marijuana is one of the few drugs that work on nausea consistently. No matter how much and how often you take it, it still gives the same effects. Other drugs build tolerance quickly, and many of them have nasty side effects too. I would much rather my grandmother take a plant pill than some chemical too.

"grandma, come get your metoclopramide hydrochloride pills for the day!"
