it does horizontal and vertical. its just not good for turning radii because it uses a 1/2 inch blade...

depending on how much youd use it having a vertical band saw built to be a vertical would be idea but the bigger the piece of equipment the faster you can cut (within reason.)

:) just remember its not plug and play. you will need to play with the spring in it. youll need to counterweight it. play with blades and belt tension. also dont expect it to cut straight out of the box
ive got almost 4 hours tuning mine and as soon as you get a tiny chunk of metal stuck in it. (happens from time to time..) it all changes again. you get what you pay for but with some time and some brains anyone can make it into a good reliable saw :) beware, its VERY heavy so find one near you ...

The only metal I plan to cut is some light aluminum C and L channel. Everything else will be plastic, delrin, polycarbonate, carbon fiber, and such.

my room, it's small and temporary, until we have our new house built, then the room gets bigger. Oh, the room is also cleaner right now, thatswhen we just moved in to this temp. rent house.

I swear I hate mogger more every time he posts a pic of his stuff, especially when I float between this and the living room floor for work space. I'm going to be setting something better up in my room when I do some rearranging of shelves and electronic equipment. Anyone want about 120 hotwheels cars? I have no use for them and they're taking up shelf space.

#1: old workspace
#2: new workspace (inside of shop in pic 3)
