Prototype pods are complete and are now sitting at the mold shop. Once the molds are done, prodution will begin. We should have the first samples of each of the different pods complete in a week or two. We will use the samples for marketing and advertising pictures. I will post all the details and pricing once the pictures of the samples are available. We are making the pods here in California, so once production starts, the first run will be available shortly there after. No waiting for shipping from overseas.

All the molds are complete and we finished the first production samples. Look for reviews by factory sponsored drivers as well as RC crawling manufacturers, here at rcc next week.

It looks like I need to come up with some more $ soon. I can't wait to see these.

Some pics of the first production samples. We are marketing the rocks to Hobby stores across the US. Our goal is to provide a platform for the shops to display the vehicles to get the word out to the masses about RC rock crawling. The rocks will also allow hobby shops to lay down small rock courses for customers to demo the RC trucks. Multiple rock pods can be purchased to set up courses for competition. The rocks can be positioned for the beginner RC enthusist or for the expert driver.

Features:

~ Patent Pending modular design allows for numerous lines with a minimal amount of LNR rock pods.

~ Sloped base allows users to turn the pods to suit their driver skill. Each base slopes from 6" to 1".

~ Optional 3" and 6" bases allow users to stack rocks to achieve taller heights. Stacking sloped bases ialso allows for more challenging layouts to be created, with a higher degree of angle.

~ Each rock pod measures 30" in diameter. Max. height of the rocks pictures below is 18" when used with (1) sloping bottom base.

~ Hexagon design allows for multiple runs by spinning pods. Each rock pod can spin in 6 different locations in relationship to each rock pod base. Each rock pod base can spin in 6 additional locations in relation to other rocks to gain multiple lines, difficult levels and paths. The rock pods are securly attached to each base using included velcro strips. Velcro strips are also used to connect each rock pod to additional rock pods.

~ Each rock pod weighs only 8 lbs. Each rock base weighs 4 lbs. Light weight material allows users to easily move the rocks in different positions.

~ Rock pods can be set up outdoors or indoors. They are rated for both conditions.

~ All LNR rocks are very durable and will withstand the abuse from RC rock crawling trucks.

~ (4) different rock pods for the first series. Each additional rock set will contain different rock styes and shapes. The first series shown below are designed with rounded type rocks. The next series will have more of a pointed type of rock. Each series will have a different style of rock.

~ All LNR rock surfaces contain a unique design that provides excellent grip for all types of RC crawling tires.

~ Unique design allows users to compare truck set ups using the same rocks regardless of where you live.

~ All LNR rocks are designed for 1/18th scale and above.

Axial Racing and their factory sponsored driver tested the rocks yesterday at their new offices. Look for some feedback from them in this post shortly.

The rocks will be on display at the Ihobbyexpo in Chicago this coming October and at the SEMA show in Las Vegas this November. We are also looking to do something special at RCX 2009.

One feature I forgot to mention in the first post. Since the rocks are a hexagon shape, you can either layout the rocks in a row one after another or you can connect them together using all 6 sides to create one large area layout.

wow!!! The owner of our LHS is looking for these. How would he place an order and can I get some contact info to give him?

You will be able to purchase direct from RCP Tracks, Inc. You can send questions to tracksales@sbcglobal.net or you can go to www.rcptracks.com where you will find additional contact links as well as a toll free number to call and speak to someone direct.

The rocks will be available for purchase in late October. We are manufacturing the rocks here in California. We can drop ship to any shop or home in the US or Canada.

We are currently setting up distributors overseas for those outside the US.

I haven't finalized pricing as of yet. I can only give you some ball park numbers. For the rock pods by themselves...approx. $45. For the rock pod and rock base.....approx. $70. All rock pod orders will come with a set of Axial gate markers and a complete set of straps to connect rocks to each other and to the bottom base. We are looking to combine rock pods in 2, 3 and a 4 rock combo kits at a reduced price. I will finalize pricing in the next week or two.

Just to clarify, the setup shown above would be just under $300, correct?
