lipo battery question

You need more info than that if it is only a 1500 it needs a high C rating or how much amps it can handle. I have run my clod on as little as 20 amps but most of the time it a 35 amp pack. Someplace there is a write up of how many amps a stalled motor draws."thumbsup"

The heat of the pack is the biggest deal over anything. Keep the lipo under 130F at all costs. It should run as cool as possible and if it does get hot, you need a bigger pack.
