So, I am still very new to lipos and was wondering about this. All the lipo ESCs say you can run 2s, 3s, ect but nothing about burst rait or C rating. Is any burst/C raiting okay as long as you use a 2s lipo with a 2s ESC or do you need to stay away from big burst/C ratings?

The c ratings, are what the battery is capable of supplying. As long as your motor setup is within the esc's capabilities. The battery will not raise the amperage.

+1.
Voltage is what matters, not "C rating" (to a point). A very low C rating may mean you don't get much "punch" when you need it, but a high C rating won't hurt anything in the rig."thumbsup"

Low C rated batteries can hurt the ESC if the motor is too amp hungry. When the voltage starts to sag under acceleration it causes a voltage and amperage ripple every time the ESC switches on and off.

Choose your motor speed based on the voltage you want to use. Choose your capacity and C rating based on the power your vehicle will need. Choose your ESC to handle everything and be the most over rated part.
