lipoly batteries

I havent yet had a lipoly pack or even seen anyone using one yet. Im just wandering a little about them. Do they have longer run times? How long does it take to charge them and can I use any standard charger on them? Is there more power? Please anyone that can help out please do shed some light on these batteries for me.

I just started using them this week on my stick I have used them for about a year with the rest of my cars and I won't go back to nimhs I have a 2000 mah 3c lipo on my crawler with lathe motors it gets about a 45 minute run time.The small size and low weight combined with a good run time works for me. You do need a special charger for them. Hope that helps a little.

I have been running a 1500mah 15c komam for about 6 months.
This is a 3 cell @ 11.1volts that works very well on my 2.2 clod.
You can not charge more than 10c, so a 1500 pack max amp is a mere 1.5 amps or if you choose the 2000mah 15c pack dubbledub is using a wopping 2.0 amps.
Expect long charge times (an hour). Never run the pack down past its minnimum voltage or charge past its max voltage(dangerous and costly as your battery will quickly die). My father has had no luck running lower 8c or 10c lipo batteries(short battery life span) so pay the money and buy 15c or higher.

One last and very important point: protect the battery at all costs. If you puncture its soft foil casing it may explode into flames.

I assume you mean 1c for charging or 10C for discharging. Most lipoly cannot be charged quicker than one hour.
