For all the"innocent"guys walking down dark streets being"harrassed"by the police..:flipoff:..I'll post the most recent video as soon as I can find it.It has the audio of the officer calmy calling in the incident and the suspects desrciption.

Albuquerque is well known for it's issues with the police department. This officer was conducting a traffic stop for suspicion of DWI (another HUGE issue in NM) when he was shot as soon as the suspect opened the vehicle door.(Supect was local meth head who was homeless and was apprehended two days later.) Just a little insight for all the cop haters as to why police as so aggresive when you're "not doing anything wrong". This officer remained so calm you'd never know he had been shot. An of course the guy who shot him was another "good boy" who "didn't do nothing wrong) - nothing = local slang for anything :lmao:

Re: Local cop shot during traffic stop.

Yes, I don't want police in my business like a police state, but we really need them to take care of the scum perps so that we don't have to pack everywhere we go. Way too many dirtbags practically everywhere these days...and our state just passed law to let many of them out of jail early...fawking idiots.

Yeah it's pathetic. This guy is a career criminal. He's homless so atleast now he's got 3 hots and a cot at Mexican Daycare Center. (Metro Detention Center) Hell the blue brotherhood even welcomed him with a blanket party. SEE BELOW

*COPIED FROM LOCAL NEWS PAGE*

Christopher Cook was arrested Tuesday in the shooting of Officer Lou Golson. Cook was charged with attempt to commit a felony, felon in possession of a firearm, shooting at or from a motor vehicle and the transferring of a motor vehicle.

In addition, Cook was charged with unlawful taking of a motor vehicle in two different auto burglaries.

He pleaded not guilty in all three cases.

The judge set a bond of $5,000 cash or surety in each of the auto burglaries, and a $500,000 cash or surety bond in the shooting.

Defendants aren't allowed to speak with victims or witnesses pre-trial. While the judge went over those conditions, Cook's attorney Jeff Rein mentioned there should also be no contact between Cook and anyone from the Albuquerque Police Department.

Rein alleged Cook was wrapped in a blanket and beaten by officers at the police department following his arrest.

APD released the following statement in response:

"The allegations made by Mr. Cook’s attorney are utterly false. These are the accusations of a career criminal who has a history of attacking law enforcement. There is zero evidence to support these claims. On the contrary officers actually bought Mr. Cook a meal because he said he had not eaten in several days. The attorney should be ashamed of himself for such a tasteless publicity stunt."

Cook had eluded several police agencies for three days after the shooting. He was finally spotted Tuesday morning by Bernalillo County deputies.

He tried lying about who he was, but was finger printed and turned over to APD.

On Tuesday, Cook was asked if he had something to say to Golson's family.

"I don't know his family," he said. "What am I going to say?"

He'll eventually be transferred into federal custody to face a firearms charge.

Craziness. Family asked his injuries not be released but he has had surgery and is recovering. 21 jump street? "You shot my dick off"?
