I just picked this up this past weekend. After going to Pinks All Out, Tyler said she wanted to go drag racing so I picked her up a used Jr. Dragster.

Specs:
8.60 dial in
2005 Motivational Tubing chassis
JR Race Car billet aluminum alcohol motor, bored and stroked
JR Race Car clutch
Billit front wheels
Rack and pinion steering
On board data acquisition unit records EGT, engine rpm, jackshaft rpm, and something else

That's about all I know, I'm just starting to learn about this stuff but its pretty friggin cool. We have to slow down the car to 8.90 sec for her first season but it should still run about 65 mph in the 1/8 mile.

She is super stoked and we've already got a couple sponsors. "thumbsup"

That's cool Grizz. Just watched a show after Pinks tonight and they had Jr. Dragsters on. Pretty cool Big Daddy.

my buddies kids ( Tavares ) races those at new england.
they got the whole setup, including the practice tree at home.

you will be amazed at how fast those little things move.

good luck with the races, and to your wallet :)

Well, I guess we found one person who's not worried about the economic situation:lol: Very cool man, you gonna haul that thing out to bandimere every weekend, or is there a track closer to you?

The Pinks that's on tomorrow night is the one from CO that we were at. Tyler and I have gone to a couple races in the last month to watch and learn, they are really cool.
Thanks BB. "thumbsup"

I bought her a practice tree for her 15th birthday so she's been practicing all the time. It's a hand held one so she practices during her study hall class. :ror:
My wallet is already hating me. :ror: One of her sponsors is going to let her use his enclosed trailer if it fits, but I'm sure I'll have to pick up a trailer before too long also. I doubt I'll be able to afford an enclosed one though.
Thanks crunky. 8)

That will be fun to drive off from her wedding in 3 years......that 20 year old showed up yet?:lol:

:ror: What I spent pales in comparison to what people have lost in their IRA's. If it all goes down the drain I'm going out in style. :ror:

We'll be running at Bandimere. I need to find out what other tracks we need to run at in order to follow the Regional Points series but I think Bandimere is the closest.

:ror: People kept telling me to start an IRA, you know, plan for my future. I invested in RC cars. Who's laughing now!

Me too Chris. :ror:
Pretty soon here might be a great time to start one though. ;-)"thumbsup"
Man that is one cool daughter, and dad! Can't wait to see how she does.
Thanks John, she's always been a great kid and loved to do the things I enjoy, but this takes the cake. "thumbsup"

Thats awesome, hope she enjoys it. The practice trees help alot if she's consistent with them, I found out doing it 3-4 times in the staging lanes is not the way to do it:ror:
