Looking forward to my SCX-10 III build. Still waiting on a motor...

I have just about everything I need to build my SCX-10 III with a couple of very important exceptions...a motor and ESC.

The motor I want to use is a Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro v2 Std 2700KV. The ESC I'm planning to use with it is the Mamba X. Neither is in stock anywhere. There are a couple of Puller Pro motors on Ebay but with the rash of fakes I've been reading about, I would rather buy from an established reputable source.

Here's hoping John can get restocked soon.

Just decided to go with an AXE system on this one. Not my first choice and I can always swap it out for a HH at a later date when they overcome their inventory challenges. The AXE's appeared to be in stock from Hobbywing North America...at least nothing in the ordering process told me they were backordered :roll:

Good choice. I have the AXE 540 2300 system in my ride and really like it. Ordered an AXE 550 3300 system for my next build. Should be here tomorrow hopefully.

Won't be long and I'll be done (ready to play, but the body work will be a running mod) with one of the two SSD/RC4WD Blazer builds.

Ordered the 3300kv combo. Arrived a few days ago. Took like 8 days to get here. Now I need a 5mm pinion.
Did you get one? If not, you'll need them for the AXE 550 cans. I haven't pulled out the 540 can in the RedCat Axe to know if its a 5mm shaft or smaller.

the 3300kv came with a 32p 16t pinion fyi.
