Losi finally released a brushless system for the MRC and it's sensored! It will be interesting to see how they compare to the competition and to brushed motors.

(Besides, the Losi system costs WAY more...Mongoose is under $100 "thumbsup")

Because you have a dialed in 1.9 running the best brushless system (mongoose) and you want to see if the losi is better. When you have $700-$1000 in a mini what's another $150 to try then new brushless system. If you dont like it im sure it would sell in 5 min on this board for $125.

Sorry...but IMO, buying a second brushless system for the same car is a silly waste of money, especially if you think a Horizon Hobby system is going to be any better than a Novak one. If you're that guy with a "dialed in 1.9", be my guest and let the rest of us know!

EDIT:By the way, I have nothing against the Losi system....it's just that if you're already brushless, this would be the one part you wouldn't need.

To me, brushless is cool, but kinda a waste all the way around. Less torque, longer run times. Not really bthe trade off I'm looking for in a crawler. Hell, with a slider on the stock esc and pinion with the stock batts, I was still seeing north of 35 minutes of actual crawl time. Yeah, I wanted more, but didn't need more.

Have you crawled with the Novak sensored brushless system? More torque and all around power than a slider motor. The slider motor was great at first but doesn't quite stand up to the Mongoose.

LOL, did you even read my post? I simply stated that there's no need to buy the Xcelorin system if you already have a Mongoose system. In no way did I state, or even imply, that there's no need for any other upgrades; in fact, you're the one saying that brushless systems are a waste (which I find even funnier). Do you buy every competing brand's version of every upgrade part for your crawler? "thumbsup"

I've got this system in my new mini, and it feels great. I haven't had a mongoose for a while, but the Losi system feels like it has considerably more torque. I can break gears at will if I try to force the rig into a spot it shouldn't be in :mrgreen: I'm currently running 14/58 gearing, and I will probably jump up a few more teeth on the pinion for my comp this Saturday.

That's the MSRP. I'm sure we'll find it cheaper online. And lots of people have multiple MRCs so they might want to try this on their second MRC. And some people buy extra parts just to experiment and they sell off the stuff they don't use.

Map pricing is $159. im breaking gears, cvd's, and stampede shafts at will with a 16 tooth pinion and a 2s lipo. ive had the mongoose before and i just didnt like it
