Lube/Grease

What are people using in the axles(diffs), transmission, and bearing areas.

I was looking at lubes and there's thrust grease, spin lube, joint lube and bearing lube for some examples, but is there one thats a do all? or do the viscosities really vary that much in RC parts?

I swear by Gorilla Snawt for all my RC needs, it won't fly off gears spinning at high speeds like most grease and just plain works really well. I haven't tried it on worm gears yet but you may want a worm gear specific grease like Worm Food from Black Label Crawlers but I can't seem to find it for sale anywhere.

I've never used RockSmith Gear Jelly but I've only heard good things, mostly from people on RCC. It wouldn't be so highly recommended if it didn't work well.

I use Losi diff grease.

RC car's don't demand much from a grease compared to an automotive or industrial application. RC cars don't get near as hot, or load the parts as high. So use whatever grease is easily obtainable. It's really not critical. Just use some grease.

Running the old RC4WD R2 trannies the noise was unbearable, I tried every thing to quiet it down nothing worked except Rocksmith Engineering's GearJelly and I'm still using it today. Team3Six sells it as does Rocksmith.
