im trying to set up my esc and i get power to my car but my motor wont move. i get power to steer but thats all.

Check the settings on the ESC to make sure it isnt in the wrong mode(brushed/brushless). It could be a few things. Also check to make sure you dont have a brush hung in the motor.

What if he's running a brushless motor?:-P :flipoff:

Is a CC BEC in the picture?

Did you just install it new?..... Were the trim settings on the radio set at zero when you bound it? I've had issues with that in the past.

if your computer won't recognize it, what version of castle link are you running? (which version did you get with it). Are you using the latest?

I had to install 3.05 when i first got my sidewinder, 3.11 didn't work. Is it the software installed but the esc won't recognize?

motor's probably acting up because the default setting is brushless and you're running a brushed.

also is the esc plugged in the right way into the receiver as well.

Personally,I'm still running one of the older versions of the firmware. Thanks for bring up the firmware deal, didn't even think about that. Castle did an update once and I had issues,so I went back to the older version and it worked like a champ. I'm happy with my performance....why fix it if it ain't broke?

Computer can't recognize it.....do you have a battery pluged in the Mamba while trying? Mine won't pick up the Mamba unless I plug one of my packs into the ESC.

hey mines doing the same thing...worked fine this weekend and now today no motor power but steering is fine lol help us..battery is on charger we will see what happens...
not running lipo and brush less
"running regular battery and 35 turn brushed motor""thumbsup"

ok you know when you turn on the esc how it makes all the sounds 2x to be armed and ready it only does it 1 cycle and wont arm help
anyone got ideas?
just charge the batt still wont arm wont connect to the computer, just steer

ok now if i hold the throttle it will act like it wants to bind but then it starts the red beeping seems 1 beep maybe 2

ok got it fixed

i must have hit the radio button and changed the model i went threw the model numbers and shes working again give it a try "thumbsup"

Any picts of how you have it wired up might help. Did you download the software on the CD that came with the Mamba?

If you have not programmed it b4 and it is new it is set on brushless which explains your lack of movement. Try setting it up manually with your radio. As much of a PITA as it is, it is a reliable method of getting your started. Are you using a laptop or a regular PC? I've found some laptops will not power up the MM and therefore will not recognize it. powering it up via a receiver pack is sometimes the only way. Most PC's though should be fine.
