Just installed a mamba monster x and revolverS stubby and I have no reverse 99% of the time, forward throttle it goes forward, reverse throttle it goes forward also almost every time every once in a while it will move backwards. Anyone know what's going on? I've used castle link to swap motor rotation direction and reversed my remote no luck.

Was it working properly with a different esc? Reduce the esc timing to zero, it may help.

I haven't tested it with a different esc this is the only esc I have for brushless. I'm almost positive my timing is at zero but I will double check

Trims at zero and recalibrate? Does it go the same speed when you try to reverse? Have a different receiver you could try?

Trims were at zero before calibration and recalibration. Same speed when it goes forward when I hit reverse except it sounds different.

Been trying to figure this out. Talked to some of the other engineers and they were just as confused as I was. That shouldn't really be possible.

What firmware version are you running? Perform a firmware update just to be safe, sometimes things get wonky and a updating the firmware again fixes things.

Does it work without the sensor wire?
Does it work in sensored only mode?

When reversing the throttle channel, watch the LED's on the controller. It should show a green LED when you want to go forward, and a red LED when you should be going in reverse.

It's possible with a Revolver. 14 poles and sensored, any sensor jitter or too much/little timing can cause problems. It gets into a commutation cycle that runs, but runs poorly or in the wrong direction.

If zero timing doesn't help, try advancing the timing. In many cases it will solve it, but not all.

I'm running it in sensored only so I can't adjust timing unless I use the cheat timing. I've been playing with curves and dead band and got it to do what it's supposed to more often but now when it's going forward and meets more then flat ground resistance it reverses direction instantly. Do I just have a bad motor or esc? Are the mamba monster x and revolverS not compatible? I never once had this problem using an mmp with these motors previously.

Running it in smartsense with the highest timing gets it the closest so far to functioning correctly. I am at a loss of what to do with this setup.
