Made some metal sliders tonight. the plastic ones were alright, but metal just sounds so much cooler hitting rock. It was actually pretty easy to do. i used some 3/4 inch L channel and cut it to the length of the silders. drilled out some holes in them and in the slider uprights. then i cut off the bottom of the silder and bolted the metal ones to them. looks good and they are RIGHT against the body now so i have more clearance then before.it bassically sits flat on the ground. i will get some pictures up after dinner prolley.

kinda like a nerf bar but better. haha

guards the body panels and helps them slide over rocks if you land on them..i'll upload pics in a bit

I'm not tryin' to bust your stones here, but with a signature that says-"eat, sleep, and breath rockcrawling", I'd think you would know what sliders are.

i made some sliders too out of some metal tracking i found...it was alreadybent on one side, so all i had to do was trim it, crimp it to the boday and used some double sided tape to hold it steady. looks and works much better than those bulky plastic ones.

Kickass bird!

If the one guys defence, I think I've seen "sliders" used on this website to refer to driveshafts on so-equipped crawlers. I could be wrong though.

Geoff, you haven't broke this one yet? Find me an S-10 body in the 1:6 scale?
