METALHEAD's 1.9er

Thanks a bunch guys! It's great to have the input. I'm pretty happy with it. After getting out and wheeling it last weekend, I really like the way it handles. It's nice and smooth, pretty quiet, it tracks nice and straight, and the suspension is tight and solid. :)

I changed the steering up a little bit. I lowered the ball joint off the servo arm about 3/4" so the steering rod is more parallel to the axle, then flipped it 180 degrees so it's pointing toward the back and is outta the way. This eliminated my bumpsteer and gave me more steering response. I also changed shock oil and put some 70 weight in. I swapped it out from the stock TLT oil...what is that crap, like 30 weight? The new tires suck up a lot of the smaller bumps and give it some pretty decent road manners. It's great, you can hear the wheels whistling when you roll over rough ground because they're purging air outta the rims. Between the SDI Trail Docs and the heavier oil I'm pretty happy with my 'spension setup and overall ride.

Again guys, thanks for all the input on the build. Keep your eyes open, I got the UPS guy and the Mailman working together to get me started on my next Frankenstien... "thumbsup"

Once again, unbelievable rig Metal! I love the red and it seems like you did an outstanding job on the paint! I used to run a body shop so it's nice to see someone actually treat the paint job like a 1:1."thumbsup""thumbsup"

Thanks a lot toomanyrcz. Thanks also for noticing the paint. I used to do body work so I can't NOT treat it like that. :) I'm kinda a perfectionist when it comes to certain details like paint. The first scratch is always the hardest, but they keep getting easier.... hahahahaha! Know what I'm sayin?
