I'm mean because you're stupid.
I mess around with MS Paint a bit on windows xp. I have a problem with the program freezing frequently. If I try to end the application a dump file hogs up my processor and never stops untill I go in and end the dump process and end the mspaint application. I have been on the MS web site looking for a way to re load? or trouble shoot MS Paint but all there canned responses don't help and searching there is worthless. Anyone know how to, I'll call it "scan" ms paint and have it repaired by another program? Do I need to re-load it off the original backup disc? My antivirus stuff is all up to date and have done scans with it recently, still a pain in the ass. Any ideas?

If you have your Windows XP CD, pop it in. Close anything that might come up. Click on Start then Run. Type in "sfc /scannow" (without quotes) and hit Enter. This command will immediately initiate the Windows File Protection service to scan all protected files and verify their integrity, replacing any files with which it finds a problem. This will take a little bit to fully run.
