This is my first truck of this kind..ive been into the racing scene since 92 and always wanted a trail type truck for fun..Decided on the SCX10 Honcho and looking forward to learning more about this class of RC.

I just received my Deans connectors so I can change out the plugs and get to run the truck for the first time...Im planning to keep mods simple.

It wont be in any competitions and I don't plan to beat the crap out of it..So with this in mind I bring you my mild build up.

Traxxas XL-5 Esc (waterproof)
Traxxas Digital high torque servo (Water proof)
Gens Ace 4000mah 2s lipo batteries.
Deans connectors for esc and batteries
Robinson 16t and 17t motor pinions (a little more torque)

I haven't installed anything yet but will be soon.

don't have enough posts to install attachments just yet but I will when I can.

Where might I find the battery and esc relocation mods ive heard about?

Hi You may want to look at doing the alloy 4 link kit and steering link kit, just look through the build threads and youll see where people are putting there electronics.

Thanks for the info...I got my connectors soldered and the packs charged..I took it out for the first time and I must say its very impressive power wise and those ripsaw tires grip to everything..I can see why most move the battery and electronics to lower the center of gravity as it does seem top heavy..Had a few rollovers already lol..I also just purchased the rc4wd rtr truck for $299 and learned the 1.9 wheels and tires will fit off the honcho...so I bought a set of 1.9 axial beadlock wheels and another set of ripsaws for the honcho...I can already feel my wallet getting lighter lol.

Upon further research the rc4wd purchase is being cancelled and im getting the jeep rubicon SCX10 for my GF..Ordered it this morning from Amain hobbies.
