MIP Driveshaft and Axial Slipper Clutch Clearance Issue

I'm running the MIP driveshafts and an axial slipper clutch. The clearance between the spur gear and the driveshaft is about 1 mm. They come into contact under hard acceleration. Is anybody else having this problem?
 
Same problem here. I just filed down the spur a little. The CVD will do that for you eventually also :lol: Just set your pinion toward the rear edge of the spur gear and run a file at 45 deg. along the outer edge of the spur gear while its running. Take a LITTLE off at a time until the drive shaft doesn't rub under load. I still get a little rub, but I can live with it. Nothing is gonna hurt these MIP shafts!
 
I am just poking my head in here for MIP all of there products are based of a complete Stock ax-10 with stock parts any aftermarket or hop-ups I think may cause a problem for clearance and fit .I was also told by MIP to inform them of such issues and if there is a need to re-work thing they will do there best to take care of us.

Its great to hear MIP is on the case. They've set a high standard of quality over the years, but I think they have a few issues with their AX10 CVDs. Id take a look in a few of those threads. "thumbsup"
 
got the same issue, so I simply mount a driveshaft at very end of gearbox output shaft. This is not really nice solution but it works.

Does anyone of you know if there is any third-party spur gear producer whos spur gears fits this axial's non-standard arresting pin span? HPI and XRAY spur gears are not compliant....

Do you have any hint how to drill new holes with tolerable accuracy?
