MNRCRC Comp #
Date: June 28th
Location: @ Enger Tower in Duluth
Time: Set-up begins approx. 9am and the comp starts around 10ish

We do plan on starting at 10 for 2.2 Pro so us cidiots need to leave plenty early.

Classes will be run in this order. In order to keep things moving, when each class starts, set your rigs at the starting gate in a line, so we know who will be running 2nd, 3rd, etc.

Here is the starting order for each class. #1 runs first on course 1. #2 runs first on course 2. #3 listed in case someone can't make it.
2.2 Pro
1. Dana
2. Kevin ($0.05pimp)
3. Brawley
2.2 Trail
1. Barry
2. Greg
3. Brawley
1.9 Trail
1. Barry
2. Kevin Morgan
3. Adam

As always, helping with course setup or cleanup is appreciated.

The results from last week can be found here.

Detailed local rules for the rigs can be found here.

No rig will be turned away. The number 1 goal is to have fun. If possible we'll help you get your class into "the rules" but we want anyone to come out and have a good time playing with their "toys" "thumbsup"
(NOTE: a Summit or Yeti XL might struggle fitting through 16" gates, but it'd be fun to see it try)

1.9 Trail Class
Get your SCX10 or TF2 ready. Any rig with a 1.9 (or smaller) scale tire is welcome.

2.2 Trail Class
New this year is a dedicated 2.2 trail class. That's right, got a 2.2 wraith, deadbolt, or scx10? We finally have a class for you!!!! "thumbsup"
Make sure you have some scale tires. Don't be using cheater tires...Bill

2.2 Pro
And, as always, we will have the 2.2pro class. Anyone not familiar with the rules of this class or the rules in general can check out this link HERE.
Pro rigs include any MOA or sportsman rig (including dig) on a comp chassis with comp tires.

SCORING
Because as we have been doing in the past, and it has been working out very well, we will share the judging duty's.
1st--- you will time and call out penalty's for the person before you. This will give you an opportunity to see the course before you run.
2nd--- you run the course.
3rd--- you will score for the person behind you. I would encourage anyone not comfortable with the rules to ask for help! I would also like to see everyone take the judges test HERE.

Fees:
-No known fees for parking at this park.
-Also there is a club fee of $3 per comp or $30 for the series. Females and young kids run for free. Ask for Kevin (nicklepimp)

Directions:(map)
From the South: Take I-35 north. Then follow what Google maps or your GPS tells you. :flipoff:
We'll try to get a more detailed location (i.e. where in the park we will actually be) loaded this week.

If there are some new people that haven't been to an event yet, just look for all the middle aged kids playing with toy trucks!"thumbsup"

(Sandwich board signs coming soon....)

I'm not going to be there I can't camp anymore but "Team Stormin2u" will and they will be ready ... 'bring it Duluth".

I love that city enjoy and take lots of photos the likelihood of a better veiw for a MNRCRC Comp won't happen until our next trip to D.O.R.K.L.A.N.D.

Go D.O.R.K.s "thumbsup"

You could use this Google map we've used for years. It has a marking for the parking lot as well as the area we will be crawling. If my memory serves, there is only the one parking lot. The crawling area is right there (can't miss us).

*If the parking lot is closed for any reason (it happened to us before), follow the road leading to the parking lot as it circles the park. We would meet where there is parking overlooking Lake Superior. Again-This is only if the parking lot is closed.

I have been too busy to look for some 2.2 scale tires, rims & foams...I liked the pit bulls that i used at the last meet they seen to work pretty good on my rig. As of right now i still dont have any 2.2 scale type tires...Does any body (who will be at the Duluth meet) have some mounted 2.2 rims w/ scaler tires i can run on my cheater truck in Duluth? I have rovers but that's a HUGE advantage and illegal, not going to run them. I will gladly run any 2.2 scaler tire. Anybody?

If I get my yeti today I'll have ci 6 bolts with xl swampers that you can use. Only problem is they have closed cell foams.

You can also use my 1.9 xl swampers. Bombshell won't be together in time for this comp.

I will be there. I will be driving down from Orr,MN ( Lake Kabetogama) and driving back up when we are finished.

Still waiting to hear from Brawley but at least Greg and I will be there around 10:00 see you Sunday.

Barry ... I'm bringing a set of mounted Proline TLS Super Swampers 2.2 G8 with CI foams tires for your use if you choose to.

Brawley's in.

Anyone have a 25t servo horn for sale? That's all that's stopping the yeti from competing.

Got plastic ones already but a cheap aluminum would be nice. Pretty sure it's short that's needed.
