MNRCRC 2016 Comp #4
Date: June 26th
Location: @ Break wall in Two Harbors, MN
Time: Set-up begins approx. 10am and the comp starts around 11ish

We plan on starting at 10 for 1.9 Trail so be sure to leave plenty early.

Classes will be run in this order. In order to keep things moving, when each class starts, set your rigs at the starting gate in a line, so we know who will be running 2nd, 3rd, etc.

Here is the starting order for each class. #1 runs first on course 1. #2 runs first on course 2. #3 listed in case someone can't make it.

Picked order based on last years top finishers

NOTE the change that we start with 1.9 trail, this is a change from last year!!

1.9 Trail
1. Adam
2. Dana
3. Dustin

2.2 Trail
1. Nick
2. Derek
3. Adam

2.2 Pro
1. Josh
2. Dana
3. Brawley

The location is HERE
Note that this is in Two Harbors MN, just north of Duluth, NOT in Taylors Falls.

As always, helping with course setup or cleanup is appreciated.

The results from last week can be found here.

Detailed local rules for the rigs can be found here

No rig will be turned away. The number 1 goal is to have fun. If possible we'll help you get your class into "the rules" but we want anyone to come out and have a good time playing with their "toys" "thumbsup"
(NOTE: a Summit or Yeti XL might struggle fitting through 16" gates, but it'd be fun to see it try)

1.9 Trail Class
Get your SCX10, Ascender, or TF2 ready. Any rig with a 1.9 (or smaller) scale tire is welcome. Bumpers and scale tires required

2.2 Trail Class
New this year is a dedicated 2.2 trail class. That's right, got a 2.2 wraith, deadbolt, or scx10? We finally have a class for you!!!! "thumbsup"
Make sure you have some scale tires. Don't be using cheater tires...

2.2 Pro
And, as always, we will have the 2.2pro class. Anyone not familiar with the rules of this class or the rules in general can check out this link HERE.
Pro rigs include any MOA or sportsman rig (including dig) on a comp chassis with comp tires.

SCORING
Because as we have been doing in the past, and it has been working out very well, we will share the judging duty's.
1st--- you will time and call out penalty's for the person before you. This will give you an opportunity to see the course before you run.
2nd--- you run the course.
3rd--- you will score for the person behind you. I would encourage anyone not comfortable with the rules to ask for help! I would also like to see everyone take the judges test HERE.

Fees:

-Also there is a club fee of $5 per comp or $30 for the series. Females and young kids run for free. Ask for Kevin (nicklepimp)

If there are some new people that haven't been to an event yet, just look for all the middle aged kids playing with toy trucks!"thumbsup"

Derp... We're in for the one on Sunday. We're going up on Saturday if anyone wants to join us for dinner.

Sent from the land of sky blue waters.

Would love to go up there, but that is the weekend we are holding the Memorial Service for my father that passed back in January. Have Fun up there.

Been a busy month, I need some downtime.
As josh said, we'll be there!"thumbsup"

Hope you feel better soon Norm.

Just got off †he phone with Greg and he and Brawley won't be able t make it this weekend due to last minute issues.

Hope you all have great weather and a good competition sounds like "Two Harbors Mike" will join us this weekend. Hopefully Team Stormin will "All" be on hand for the "Battle at The Border" on the 30th.

There should be some good Ore Boat close up shots this weekend. It takes them near an hour to enter the Harbor and dock. I've loved that Great Lakes shipping since I was a kid when the ships were shorter in length and were powered by Turbine Diesel and blew black smoke trails on the horizon. "thumbsup"

Thanks Adam, I'm improving but I caught a summer chest cold sometimes you just can't win. :ror:

How are you liking the new 2.2 KLRs from Ottsix Racing? I think its the best performing 2.2 scale tire to date at least the ones I've tried. Our 2.2 seems to have more traction and smoother handling. They've already made tough climbs in testing we've never made before. We just got ours mounted up and Greg and I have been putting them though the paces this week.

I actually haven't ran them yet, didn't like the first set of foams I got for them so I ordered new ones, will get them mounted tomorrow and give them a test, it's gonna be hard to take my growlers off cause they have done so well.
