AMain is a large enough outfit (on the level of Tower and Horizon?) where they can negotiate really good rates due to volume. A "mom & pop" outfit doesn't do nearly the volume, therefore less leverage to negotiate rates.

As a small vendor, you can try using a third party logistics service to get lower rates, as the 3pl service should be able to get better rates. However, you add a middle man that has to get paid, so the savings are debatable.

I'm going to ConExpo/CONAG again. I always find it hilarious when the Chinese are walking around Caterpillar , Hitachi and Komatsu(among others) equipment taking hundreds of pictures while holding rulers for scale representation. The chinese have no shame about it either. Haha it's like they literally go and make total shit(well not always totally) replicas and schlep it as their own product for cheap and built by slave labor. Hey whatever. I'm just saying it's pretty blatant. I run a Caterpillar copy cat loader every now and then. It's a real pos. Cheng Gong. Hahaha. But it gets the job done some how. Wouldn't want a dozer or hoe though.

We deal with many Asian countries selling them chipper variety potatoes. Most of their soil is garbage, they will continually plant the same crop year after year until it is depleted of any viable nutrients. It's like fertilizer and crop rotation don't even cross most of their minds. :roll:

Every potato we ship them has a chemical applied that will steralize the potato so they can't just plant them in their dead soil and be done with us. :lol:

The sad part is that the general public does not wake up on time.

Last time Airforce One landed in china, Mr Obama was not given a staircase and there was a verbal fight between American and chinese officials at the airport. What a way to welcome a President.

Speaking for India, I am very aware our soil is not garbage and crop rotation is known to even thumbsters, thanks to agri-labs spread all over the country.

The sterilising thing isn't unique. All GMO producing companies do it. There is also this chemical castration and cancer thing associated with them.

Of course they don't like us, we're assholes. But we're assholes with money so they have no choice but to deal with us. Our debt is so intertwined that they know they can't stop dealing with us and if they did everyone would go down.
