JMO here, but phillbilly is doing a commendable thing here. I think the thread should keep going just to show that theft or shady trading will not be tollerated or forgotten. And follow up work will be done to right the wrong as best as anyone can do thru a keyboard. I'm glad the mods have left it be so if nothing else this guy/kid will serve as a "whipping boy" of sorts for his actions. The next time it could be me that gets stuck, or one of you guys. Even if it only prevents one more bad deal from taking place it's worth it.

AJCloud is waiting for the second package he said he sent to make the deal right.the kid was trying to trade me that wraith and told me thursday when I asked about some wheels he had for sale the AJCloud bought them and he had to shipp them of . There is no way they are there yet .The problem is this kid is doing this over and over changing his screen name I have caught on and on our local forum I can find him everytime. So I'll call him on it and he says oh thats not me then when I go back to the classifieds he has deleted the post so I know its him I put warnings up when I find him to let everyone know its him. I have tried to help him out and get him on the up and up it won't happen so I'm done , To be totally honest the people at our local RC shop and now me believe his dad is in on it hiding behind his ( so called innocent .When things go wrong that is what he will tell you I didn't do nothing wrong I''m just an innocent kid):evil:

this was posted this morning on warcrc from jeepnut21. lets go jeep has pointed out that this is 87samaraui. same kid strung me along on a trade for 3weeks. I know phillbilly, lets go jeep, and several others ripped off by this kid. the only legal way to stop it is ban him and somebody talk to his f-ing parents. someone is taking him to the post office to ship big boxes with rc trucks, he is too young to drive.

I now have proof that he is jeepnut21 and is trying to trade off that wraith on our local forum warcrc one of the guys on the forum got him to send him picture . jeepnut21 sent him pictures off his cell phone he PM'd me the pictures and his phone number was at the top of one picture :lmao

If you need an interesting entertaining but extremely frustrating read then this is for you.
I saw his trade ad for the "built" toyota hard body he wanted to trade for a wraith. I dont have anyone locally to crawl with and i bought a wraith but found myself liking my 1.9 better. I contacted him and he agreed to trade. i had him describe the yota and it was pretty nicely built to hear him describe it. steel internals in the trans, MIP shafts, aluminum axle parts etc etc. so by his description his trade was worth more than my stock wraith, so i agreed to allow him to keep his electronics and i would send the wraith rtr minus a motor. then we were to ship the following day. fortunately i checked my PM's prior to shipping because i got the "hey dont ship yet" message over pm even though we had been communicating by text message.
at any rate, i had now taken the wraith apart and made it ready to ship.
then a week goes by and I put it back together and took it out and crawled for a while.
then he contacted me again and wanted to trade. we agreed on a deal again, for a "built yota" and we were going to ship the next day. I took a photo of the wraith disassembled, sent it to him, went to the ups store and took a pic, sent it to him, took and sent a pic of the wraith and components on the ups scale and sent it, then sent a pic of the receipt with tracking number. he responds immediately and says he is shipping later this afternoon.
at 7 my time, 6 his, after post office was closed I have to text him and he says his grandmother was in a car accident and he couldnt ship. hopefully for grandmas sake thats not true, but..........
Dont worry man, I'm shipping first thing in the morning bro, Im honest I wont screw you. etc etc etc
next morning around noon I ask and he has to finish breakfast etc before he can ship, then three hours later his dad was busy in the garage, and then finally i get a tracking number.
Then when the package shows up it is nothing like was described, no steel internals, no MIP shafts, it isnt built, it has some crappy sliders welded onto the scx chassis and bumper that matches in quality. there were aluminum axle parts, but otherwise it is relatively stock, nothing like was described.
so I contact him about the junk he sent and by now he has heard from some other members and knows hes busted. He says he will send me the aluminum rims and new tires to make the deal more acceptable. by this point, I realize, I got the short end of the deal, and that happens, so I have decided to just move on and build the truck the way i want it built anyway.

as difficult as it is to believe, no tracking number and no rims and tires have shown. just this morning he sent a text message asking if i was interested in purchasing a radio and other equipment and i said "No, I would be interested in knowing when the rims and tires are going to show up." Ive yet to get a response.
Bottom line is, trade if you like, but make him ship first, and I would then wait to get his product prior to shipping yours.

I'd do what you can to get the Wraith back, and threaten legal action if he won't.
Make him ship first, you don't ship his junk back until you receive the Wraith in good order.
If he won't agree, get the cops involved. This kid isn't going to stop screwing people until someone comes down hard on him.

hey, sorry it took me so long, I was a police officer for 10 years, and i understand the ins and outs of contracts across state lines, and I know exactly what to expect WHEN I contact the local authorities. I refrained from bashing the kid, I have been, until recently, in very friendly contact with the youngster, and he and I had come to an agreement. I have the text messages to back up what I am saying here. I dont hold grudges, and I am even willing to let by gones be, but only if he lives up to what he has said he will do to make this right. now today, still no rims/tires, no tracking number, and all of the sudden he clams up.
Here is what I would like to happen, i have his toyota, and if he wants to send the tires and rims like he said he already has, Ill keep it and it can be a long term project. However, I would really rather just have my wraith back. I have no intention of depriving the young man of his toyota, so if he wants, or the members close by can retrieve the wraith legally, no implied violence or threats, I will pay for the return shipping and I will even pay to ship his junk back to him.
I commute two hours one way to work, and I was outta town this past weekend.
I just wanted to solve it privately without beating the kid up (figuratively of course)

Never know, somebody did drive by his house and take a picture. The internet has all sorts of information, you can find somebodys house by just a phone number, ect... Soooo by the way sombody was amped up earlier in the thread. It may not be too outta the question... Just my opinion.
