im trying a motor out of a 18 volt cordless drill do u think it will work. well i no it works i have it in there but what is the 55 turn motor compared to what i have

Current cordless drills are using motors that have heaps of torque and suck up the amps. It will work but you will have short run times and maybe even a fried ESC. Some of the older cordless drills used the 550 series of motors that were easier on the amp draw.

I am currently using a 18v drill motor in my wheely king which gives both great torque and wheel speed. A 3300Mah 6 cell pack will last 1 hour hard rock crawling however the motor does get fairly warm without a cooling fan which i would reccomend. much prefered to a lathe motor which gives no torque at a half decent wheel speed at all (and not a much better run time surprisingly). Im running a LRP runner reverse (old version) with no problems at all.

so go for it "thumbsup"
