It's right there in the name-- it's Mod 0.6. It's like... metric 48 pitch.
The easiest method is, well, to buy a new Mod 0.6 pinion if this one doesn't work for you.
My route is to replace the spur with a "normal" 48P or 32P spur, so I can use one of my scads of available pinions.
