Hey guys I need to replace my worn out Maxxis High Rollers on a UST Tubeless rim. I am thinking of going with the Kenda Nevegals for the terrain up here in the PNW. Sounds like we have some other MTB'rs on here. Lets hear some reviews on what some of you guys are running.

I run the High Rollers on my Kona hardtail, most of the trails around here though are maintained pretty well with good flow. Combine that with the High Rollers and it's a pretty fast ride with no washing out in the corners.

I ran the high rollers on my DH bike last year. They rolled well but I didn't feel confident in the sweeping loose (moondust) corners.
I just put on some WTB Timberwolfs ($20 each at nashbar) and while I did lose some rolling speed they grip alot better in the loose stuff. Much better predictable slides too.

A friend used to ride on some nevegals and he was pretty fast

Unfortunately, the terrain here is a lot different than what you see. My guess is the nevegals and high rillers would be very similar, if you were happy with the Maxxis tires then get 'em again.

Yeah I love ust tubeless until its time to replace them, cha ching:shock:

Consider any non-UST tire too. With Stans any tire will work. I've been running non-ust tire tubeless for years. "thumbsup"

Nevegal is a good front tire, have them on the front of my XC and AM bikes. Both are the "Stick-E" compound. I would get the DTC compound next time.

A bit much rolling resistance for the rear in my opinion.

I run a small bike shop and the nevegal is easily the most popular/common tire in town....I have run them for a few years on my bikes and love them!!
