My Brushless Combo

IMO the 5 gram outrunner is the best bet w/ 2s lipos, speeds are just over stock, the shaft is 1.5mm fits stock pinions, torque is all there, if your slipper is to tight youll throw u-joints left and right. this is the best cool running setup w/ lipo, even over stock w/ lipo. run times are in the hour range or more if your not a throttle jockey. the low end control with the outrunners are amazing once the timing is advanced.

all these high kv motor have been tested w/ no good results unless speed was wanted but low end cogging will be present.

many diferent scales use brushless motors for crawling, key kv rating for crawling w/ brushless is 1500kv-2200kv.

and if speed are to slow consider a 3s w/ 2000kv motor.

Has anyone shown how you advance the timing on these? I'm sure it's easy but how???

I found a 3000kv motor that will work on 11.1 but can't find a 2000kv that will...is there one?http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8491

And is this the one everyone is has said works well? I saw a red colored 5g outrunner used on another post but can't find it again.

Yes ^ that is the 5gram motor everyone said works well, but I cannot say that myself... yet.

All timing changes are done via programming through the ECS. No physical motor adjustments like a brushed motor

Gotcha. Thanks. I haven't tried to do timing on a sidewinder micro...i wonder if it's called something else in the menu. I am going to order both motors and maybe even try a 11.1 on the 3000. Good luck on yours!
