My Datsun 510 experience

Been wanting one of these for a while now,so I decided to pick one up from tower,and after a coupon and a another deal I scored this guy for 170 shipped, I ordered the morning of the 20th and it was waiting at the house on the afternoon of the 21st:shock: Didn't think is see it that quick,any how I'm knee deep in about 10000 plastic parts right now. I forgot how many parts these kits have. I will have some more pics up soon. This ones gonna be touring/drift. With the old school datsun flavor.:twisted:

update: got it running using
hitec 5995
goat 3s with 21.5t
flysky gt3b, nice cheap radio
drove it without the lid i expected to have a nice litle crusier but this little thing runs like its on rails very quick but very stable got the lid painted need to finish trimming mount the accesories and the leds

i was in the same boat, but i got it throught tower with a 25$off coupon on easy pay i think the total was 178 shipped and it showed the next day.


well for the most part its done just gotta throw in some leds, this is the first rig ive added decals to that actually look decent on it. i narrowed the track width and lowered it a bit

That is a great looking 510.The color choice looks great on it.I want to get one of those bodies to put on my Traxxas Rally chassis.

wont fit, the rally is too wide, and i think the wb is off too but check out genki dori dori they have alot of bodies that may fit

I'm not sure about width using the stock wheels, but the wheel base will be off by around 15mm. You can use the Lancia Stratos and 911 Carrera cup racer bodies on the Ralliestang so long as you're running 0-1mm front wheels and 3mm rear wheels"thumbsup"

the porshe is sick, after building this one, i think im gonna get the z car, i am partial to the corolla though. hell i dunno this think is a blast i might just buy the rest of the group :twisted:

Nice build! The colors look great! Mine is still in the box that I bought a year ago. I can't build it until I finish building my 1:1 scale real one.

They are very fun cars! Wish I would get more use out of mine, have it listed for sale here, but every time I walk by and see it I'm having second thoughts!
I had bought mine to race in orange county but just couldn't find the time. Your looks really good. If I end up keeping it I'm going straight for the porshe body! "thumbsup"
