My Drift Machine=240sx

Just finished getting my car ready for tomorrows XD-1 drift event here in Hawaii at Aloha stadium. I bought this car from another racer after our local race track closed down & have been waiting 5 months for an event to run it in. IDK how many of you are into this, but I thought I'd share it with you.

aye is that a rb 26 or a sr? none the less sweet and verry rare here on my big island. haha, jp. but seriously not many 240s. i want a 300zx my all time fave nissan. with a sr20 in it. and tt. yeyuh.

Stock SR w/ t25 turbo, 550 injectors, Apex power FC, Apex exuahst. Not much. I have a t28 ballbearing turbo to drop in when I need more oomph. The chassis is all set though, the front is seam welded, need to do the back half & put in a cage.

Being that this is my first event, I think it's enough for now.

OMFG I love that hood!!! A local guy has one on his Zenki and It looks awesome. Lose the turbo charger sticker though, lol. Nice and clean engine bay, looks like a well done swap. Also, it doesnt look like you have any clearance problems with the hood so lose the spacers (it looks like you have hood spacers, lol)

Oh, BTW, here is my S14. I'm planning on building up the suspension first, then comes the engine. Haven't decideed if I want to turbo the KA or swap an LSx in yet.

Yup, got the spacers on the hood. I had to cut some of the underside of the hood out to clear the intercooler & strut tower bar. I need to clearance a little more to take of the spacers, It sucks cutting up a $600 hood to make it fit.:shock: The warning sticker covers some holes in the dash, I mounted something there, then changed my mind.:lol:

I personally think the RB is over rated..

I just did an engine swap in my cuzzins 240 about a week ago.He had some leaking issues.the block was all messed up=/..

why is an rb over rated? its more like sr20's are overused and over rated.

None of those engines are overrated. You can make gobs of power with all of them and most of them are fairly reasonable (price wise) except the RB26 ($10k - $12k swap) Personnaly, I would go with an RB25 or LS1 for my 240, as a LS1 weighs 50 pounds LESS than the stock KA24DE so weight wouldnt be an issue.

I sure do miss my 98 SE. I absolutely regret it. I was thinking about buying my boys Zenki. It puts down an estimated 425-450.

i love drifting. i've never been to an event though, just drift the local streets and highway ramps. we definately need action pics, that thing is nice.
