Got some more work done tonight. Also forgot to mention that I'm usingRod from my Local hardware store since no-one carries Safety Silver around here that I found. But, now on to the PIC's:

Hope to make more progress through-out the week. But maybe not till the weekend. Thanks, Chris

looks good so far. even though its design as you build do you have any idea how you want the finished product to look?

I've got a general idea. But, it's been changing as I go. I feel it'll come out close to what I pictured. We'll see though. If not......I'll just have to build another one. Thanks

Made a little progress today.

I discovered that it fits nicely in the stock Lid without the stinger..... Maybe it'll end up as kinda a scaler. Not sure yet. Or I might make a different stinger and keep it going the direction I've been headin. Any opinions??

wow

good job,wow this is your first one, gosh i guess I need to learn too, seems that everyone building tubers there first time always looks good, nice job bro

Well, just after posting that last set of pics I notice something....I have to ditch the front section. I realized it was gonna interfere with the drivetrain. All is not lost though. Now I get to start from the "cab" and work out from here:

Atleast this time I have a "base" to work from.
thanks for the comments so far, Chris

Thanks,I've worked with alot of metals before.........just never this small. I feel this is comming along pretty well though. I'll have some updates soon.

Finally...... The "Chassis" is pretty much complete. Now I have to take apart the WK so I can figure out were to put the link and shock mounts.

Thanks, after looking back I was wondering what I was doing myself. But I think I may have figure it out the hard way but..... what other way is there?
I may be changing the very bottom portion of it depending on how I need everything to mount up. But, for now it's finished. Chris

Well, I'm back from my little "vacation" and looking to get this prolect done here soon. Just picked up some Axial Black Chrome BL wheels and Moab tires today. Next I need to get my belly pan bent up and button it all up. Then I've gotta figure out the electronics.

After trying to figure out a belly pan, I decided to make a little change. Then I built the "boat sides"

Now I have to make the actual skid plate.

Made a little progress today. Got the motor plate mounted up and placed the motor/tranny in the chassis for a test fit.

Couldn't have made it a tighter fit if I tried. This was the first time I tried getting the assembly in there and got real LUCKY!!

Now I get to make the skid plate and tranny mounts next. More to come........ hopefully it'll be all mounted up tomarrow night and the links will be after that.

Thanks for looking, Chris

UPDATE: link and shock mounts almost finished. Should be standing on her own by the weekend. And hopefully wired so I can go play. Chris
