Well Im back in the hobby of crawler. Stripped my ring and pinion out of my stock mrc the other week working on it and just needed to buy a new rear axle but ended up buying a whole mrc pro roller!

Spent the last two days building up and swapping everything form my stock mrc over to the pro.

The pro already came with metal lockers in the front and rear. Metal knuckles and hubs. Metal steering links. Ect.

Right now I am using all stock electronics and battery. Im going to transfer the stock electronics over to my stock mrc and get upgraded motor, ecs, and liops for this one.

Onto the pictures!

Thanks! Took it out for its first run tonight. Was messing around in a parking lot then found some rocks first few feet I wet the front drive shaft came apart. I lost one of the pins and the ball Bering inside the u joint. Was still fun crawling with only 2wd tho! Will be ordering a new ecs motor and lipos this week!

A good start with good parts.. for better steering, you have a couple options to get it better if ya wanted? You could getie servo level with the ground by moving ur upper links back at the chassis. It will let ur chubs clock back.. why didn't the metal tie rod work? Too long? You could simple drill holes straight out from ur knuckle to chub screws to give you zero ack steering an cut the extra off. Then, if ur tie rod is too long, it will work as well.. as for ur drive shaft, that sucks! Glad you had fun in 2wd.. keep it up

I have another set of stock mrc wheels and tires coming ill end up putting weight in. How many oz's?

I'll have to find a scale and weigh mine. But I'm also running Dark Soul OMF beadlocks, which are pretty heavy anyway. I bought a pack of lead ingot at Bass Pro Shops and used 1 stick per wheel. Had to cut about 1/4 of the width off, though, to make it fit. Packs are 5 lbs and I don't remember how many sticks came in each pack. So yeah....I need to weigh them.

I'm going to start at an 3oz a wheel up front, 1oz per wheel in back and tune from there. That puts me at 6-1/2oz and 4-1/2oz respectively if I remember correctly. I'll add or subtract from there.

Well took the truck out last night for its first run. Started out in a parking lot. Just messing around on some curbs. All was good. Found a little drainage area and went crawling and lost the pin holding my front drive shaft on and the ball that the pin goes through. Also lost one of the screws that hold the upper link on the front!

Fixed the drive shaft and link today. Made sure everything was tight also. Got my batteries charged up ill be taking it out tomorrow to do some crawling if the weather isn't to bad.

Well took the truck out today and crawled around for about an hour. Its 15* outside here so I couldnt take it anymore haha. But any way the truck did awesome! Super happy about how well it did! Found a nice little area to crawl and built a little area to crawl on.

One thing I'd highly recommend is getting some 1.9 Rovers for it... You will be amazed by the difference between the tires you have now and the Rovers... Also get some C.I. Foams for them.. The best is to run soft foams in the front and medium in the rear... You can get them together from Crawler Innovations so you don't have to order from 2 different places :) Here's a link...

1.9 Rovers/C.I. Foams

I'm running 1.9 Chisel G8s on mine. Couldn't find Rovers, so I went with the next best thing. Running the foams that came with them, which are a little stiffer than I'd like, but I really haven't even broken in the tires yet.

1.9 Rovers/C.I. Foams

I am looking at getting some new tires very soon. Just trying to find some nice 1.9 wheels i like and that arnt super expensive!

How do you like them?

I'm running Dark Soul OMF style beadlocks and they're great. Happened on a pretty good deal, so I jumped on it. The tires are good so far, but I really haven't taken it out much, so they're still pretty much in the break-in period. I will be getting better foams for them, though.

Definitely get the Rovers before new wheels... That's the biggest improvement I've noticed that I've done to my Mini...

I've tried Chisels but I don't like them as much as the Rovers... They don't hook up quite as well and mud gets stuck in the lugs a lot easier...
