First off: I know I'm late to the table as some of this stuff may have been covered already. However this is my take/opinion of the kit. Keep in mind this is how I did mine not to say others might have some differing opinions. My reasoning for being late to build is I have severe tremors, among other things. There is more explained below.

Hi there ladies and gentleman! I received my Orlandoo H35a01 Jeep Wrangler about a week ago and started to dig into the packages. Every thing is neatly packaged just the OH35p01 ford kit.

My first impression of the body was " No fricking wayThis is so small.. It is also very detailed for a model this small. Its more like a 1/24 model kits detail. I'm starting to worry a little bit..

The tires are almost like baja claws in style and are about the size of a quarter in diameter.

Next, the axles.. Really starting to worry. The gears inside are almost as big as my pinky nail. Almost. The fact that they are metal gears is awesome as well as the axle shafts and all ball bearing ??? WOW.

Axle housings with a quarter!? They are cleanly molded in a tough plastic, looks like a pretty solid design to me. Oh, did I mention everything is tiny?

The pinion gear and ball bearing. Don't drop it unless your work area is super clean or it may be gone lol.

Ring gear on axle shaft, I bent the E clip a little getting it on the shaft but if fit after some tries and Sam also includes a couple of extras with the kit. In this pick the rubber O-ring must be slid over the ring gear slot to hold the drive pin in place. There is a round groove the red O-ring fits into.

Here is the front axle assembled in front of a Redcat Sumo crawler. Its just a bit smaller than the redcat lol.

Here's the assembled axles. They may fit a couple of 1/10 crawlers with some work LOLOL.

Ok, here's a little trick I use on rigs that are small. Take the included hex driver and cut a bit off the long end and slip it into a pin vise. Makes things 10 times easier to install the balls and screws for the kit.

Here is the front axle with brackets and links. My favorite part of making these the proper length is the instructions measure from inside end to inside end of the ball cups instead of trying to measure from center to center like is normally used.

The transmission is really cool and I can see some using it for custom builds:) Its an all in one trans + skid plate with all metal gears and bearings throughout and N20 motor attached.

This comes with a steel ladder style frame. I wasn't expecting that. I was really impressed with this.

The chassis is a nice tidy setup. Everything has its own spot but can be changed up to your taste.

Axles and such. Roller style, looks nice IMO.

Um, must install body. Its only right to get a good view of the rig. I also really like that Sam has designed and put into production the aftermarket style bumpers. One less thing to mod.

I could not wait to get some color on the body and get to detailing!

Just figured gold would work on it and thats about all I had laying around but I like it anyways. I started to paint the black parts by hand. The faskolor paints work well for me and are water based so its easy to touch up when shiz gets rough.

So now for the good and the bad..

Bad news first. I have bad tremors after some health problems. To the order of can't drink coffee in the morning without getting more on my face and the floor than in my mouth lol.

As for the kit itself, I honestly don't have any problems or issues besides getting the wheels to fit smoothly onto the output shafts. That can be remedied with a little use of a exacto knife to scrape some of the chrome plating off the inside of the wheel.

Good news: With some patience and taking my time I was able to successfully assemble the kit even with some physical problems and actually it wasn't so bad. If I can put this kit together myself I truly believe that almost anyone can put this rig together if you have the drive to do it. When your done, you have an awesome platform to run it stock or it'll be cool to see what mods some builders have in store for it.

Looks great! Nice job. I see you used faskolor. Did you do a clearcoat when you were done? Did you use a water based clearcoat? The reason I ask is I have one of these kits on the way, but it's getting too cold to paint outside. I can do water based with my airbrush indoors. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice , as I too have a kit on the way and I have never built a kit so it should be fun

I haven't done the black parts with clear yet, i'm going to see how it holds up to some abuse without clear cause its easy to touch up. If I do it will be some flat clear on the roof. The gold body color is clear coated with some Tamiya paint. The faskolors paint can be topcoated with anything. I'll likely repaint it with more flavor soon.

Re: My review/builds from the Orlandoo OH35a01

Hey yall, been a while. Again:( So lets start the story with I'm impatient waiting for parts. Was planned to make a nice run vid on my scale coure with the Jeep, Sorry Sam I couldn't sit around twidlin my thumbs waiting on a gear motor. This is what happens when i'm bored and if you know me or have ever viewed my other builds. let the mods begin!

And so its starts...

looked everything over and was a close fit, width wise.

I'll get more into depth on this tomorrow.

Now that's what I like about you. Ya can't leave well enough alone. I'm definitely liking the new truck much better.
