I've started this rig on September, but I wasn't reaaly pleased with the result till now. This is a budget build in order to keep my money for my Clod based rig, but u know how hard it is to resist... Had to buy another TQ3, Hi Lift shocks...

I began with clocking the stock tranny:

reworking the stock motor plate allows me to keep the plastic cover... A 96t spur is installed however with just a few grinding.

The chassis is made of some aluminum I had laying around.

The links are 3mm threaded rod with alum tubing.I wanted to get the shock mounted outboard and bring the lower links in towards the drive shafts. This will allow more stability and also help the car from loading up while flexing. U can see the dig setup, re-using the stock steering servo + mount. A custom 7 cells 3600mah pack sits between the upper links.

A well known servo mount... Just had to file it a bit to get full steering at the left knuckle. Cen Genesis steering servo.

A set of Mashers 2k is installed on narrowed stock rims. Picked an old Marui Golden Eagle's driver and fitted the New Bright's Rockcrawler body... Functional front and tail lights.

The exhaust was a keyring...

The spare wheel will be swapped with a Weld rim with an Interco TRXUS, and the TR2 that is on my Clod will be in as soon as I'll get my Rooster Crawler. Or a Mamba max. And soon alum knuckles and hubs.Oh yeah, very hard hobby!!!

Thx King Bling and TCS..."thumbsup"

Thx! I was about to buy a Bronco body, but it was a pain to throw this jeep in the trashcan!

The mashers do real great job on most surfaces, especially in wet conditions...the body is a little heavy on the rocks and as it is my 1st shafty I still think it can go where my Clod go... But a real pleasure to drive!

Whaddaya mean about my driveshafts Duleonar?

i think he means the thing on your driveshaft dat is making it work or not by a servo.
so you have 2wd and when needed 4wd.
just guessing! lol

It's the well known rear dig setup... The servo makes the center part slide and connect or disconnect the driveshaft. Useful in steep ledges climbing or to have a sharper turning radius as the axle is packed with heavy grease...

Nice build, I especially liked how you clocked the motor but utilized the stock plate so the cover would still work. Very creative.

hey could you please tell me where you got that guy in the seat ive been wanting one and ive looked for a long time and i cant find them so could you tell me where you got it. Thanks :):)

AWSOME IDEA using the stock plate to clock the tranny!!!! I got the template for a clocked plate off of here but i like your idea alot better. Have you had any problems with using only two screws holding the plate on? Very nice scale look by the way"thumbsup"
