Small update new look trying to make my own links getting tired of buying them then bending them and messing them up.Only have 1 strip of weights in wheel was really impressed by how good it did that light but u can tell it will do a lot more with more weight.Right now saving up for vp knuckles and knuckle weights

You've been busy today, like the black look alot better with the new wheels! Links look good! Alot better than the ones u have been bending.

Need to head down this way tomorrow and try them out at the waterfall. I changed out foams and want to try them out also.

Forgot went to 600 hubs in rear seems to make it alot more stable. If the easter egg hunting gets done I will try to run down tomorrow and go up to the falls looks like a awesome place to crawl and see If i can make a few more gates"thumbsup"

theres something funny about your suspension geometry though looks like the nose is way up and youre not getting the slant on the belly you should with that chasis

Thanks for the compliments.Yep the front pointing up higher than the rear has bothered me since i had it.I tried putting shocks in the holes that others were running and never have tried to change it up.Still running stock shocks and just figured others were using different shocks.Like i have said earlier I am new at this and any advice is appreciated.Waiting to see how much vp weight knuckles are going to be so I can either order vp knuckle and weights combo or just knuckles and get the dlux weights.

Finally got some vp knuckles and weights.Said I was done buying now but gonna have to atleast get vp front upper link mount to try to get servo away from tire.Going to go back to stock steering and hope fa1rch1ld starts making a few of his longer steering slider.Went with the 1/4 weight rings over the 1/8 rings less tune ability but saves a few dollars and that was my ideal weight I was after.

Did you limit the shocks?

Did you limit the shocks?

No I haven't limited my shocks yet.I guess its hard for me to get my brain wraped around the idea of limiting the shocks. How much do u recommend to limit and is internal or external better or does it really matter. And what is your opinion on the mini springs?I know before I got the vp weights I softened my springs up and made a big difference and was debating on what to do to shocks.

The Losi Gold springs are good for your application. I would recommend looking at krawlfreak's or my build thread for the shock limiting. Basically...

Fronts - 1/8" internal and 1/8" external
Rears - 1/2" external

The internal limiters need to be something hard...like aluminum or nylon spacers (I use nylon). The externals on the front "can" be a softer material to help soak up hard hits like dropping off a ledge, but the rear externals need to be hard. I use another nylon spacer on them. What you are accomplishing by limiting the rears externally is creating a fulcrum through the chassis and using it to apply pressure to the other wheels when one of the rear corners are compressed completely. It's more complicated than that...but thats the idea behind it anyway.

Limiting them internally lowers your ride height and improves your center of gravity. Most times you need a setup that will do sidehills well, breakover pretty good, an handle steep up and down hills. Tons of breakover is nice sometimes, but what you sacrifice in other areas makes it moot. "thumbsup"

You should have come to the ETRC comp last week "thumbsup""thumbsup"

Thanks for all the info I will definitely do the shock limit setup. It feels like and looks like thats were alot of my problems are in the shocks it just dont flow good on side hills off camber transtions.Thought the knuckle weight was going to solve all my problems but after driving it tonight I see I got along way to go to figuring this thing out."thumbsup"

Yeah it was my plan to come to the ETRC last week with Vertec but then realized it feel on same day I was making a parade float for my sister and I had to be in it.Justin said he had a blast with everyone down there and it was a awesome place to crawl. It looks like I need to lower my ride height and lower my center of gravity just looks like a sitting tall.Thats why I need to go to comps to learn this stuff and mainly have fun."thumbsup"
