Drivers Meeting will be at 1:15

We will be using the same rule set and format as before. The course will be ran 1 direction and reversed for run #2.
2.2 will be the only class (sorry supers and scalers).
The course will be changed from last time to make it more interesting.

ALSO... I spoke with the owner and he WILL have a full line of axial parts (everything they can get) along with tires and rims. For those of you that arent ready for the comp, see the club thread.

Remember everyone, if we can get another good turnout there is a very good possibility (probability?) that the course will be expanded. Jetboat is working with the store on the design in hope we can come up with something modular so we can make it different every time. as mentioned, we have received a large order of axial parts, wheels and tires and are working on more as we speak. Please feel free to call if you have questions!

Sweetness!

ha ha Count me totally in. The F350 Scorpion will be torn down this week to keep the driveshafts from slipping off, and that loose wire that stalled me with the grille touching the last gate will be resoldered. I am so happy, I get to spend the day rock crawling instead of at my sisters baby shower looking at pink Shiz! All hail Jetboat! By the way Jet, you going to have any of those Wheely King Chassis you were testing on the Black Chevy? If they are affordible I may be interested in taking one off your hands.

Sounds like I'll be making my comeback debut up there.

I may come out agian just to see you. That is my one gay statement of the month.
I will try to come out again. Had a good time at the other one. Maybe just maybe I will bring a comp rig, I'm not shure though.

Ill actually be using 1 in the comp if I get it done in time.

Halfj-7....Hows that house coming????

Hope to see everyone that was there last time again along with some new faces. Im going up this weekend to see if I can come up with a good course layout... Im wanting to eliminate some of those "holes" No sense in people breaking parts (even though the shop would like that Im sure). Prolly no additions this time around but if turn out is high (and I know it will be) there will be some changes coming.

Oh...if I can get it worked out, this may be comp 1 in a points series "thumbsup" There is at least 1 other shop that has asked to host a comp for a series and another that is still working on their course. Just might have to throw 1 of those Talon chassis up as a prize (thanks cole again for the help)

I try to avoid making gay statements altogether, but its nice to know you care.
I gotta order some parts for the 2.2 and thrash it together.

I'll be there with my brother again."thumbsup"

Maybe a few other local guys if I can fire up a spare rig.

JetBoat, use the concrete section to the max. Those Boulders were lame.

I've got a bridge, if you would like to use it some how for this comp. Maybe to get over the boulders.

The boulder pile wouldn't be horrible if there was some organization. Small rocks to fill crevices, ect.

I can't wait till the day comes.

I have PLANS!!!!! I am going to pick up some river rock later this week to use as fill, some of the big rocks will be moved to the center out of the main course to act as a wall against monster jam driving "thumbsup" I'm working on a way to bring some more elevation to the course too. Also, the crete has realy hardened over the last couple weeks and I dont think wear will be an issue any more (except on tires). Bring as many people as you can, we are going to start earlier this time because we are expecting a larger turnout. The more people we can run the better, as we have already been told that if we get the same or better turnout we can build on.

Notes for competitors:
We will only be doing a 2.2 class, there is just no time for other classes.
Tech will be strict this time, WB and width will be strickly enforced
Bodies/tubers will be checked for measurements.
Points will be watched, if you reach 40 your done with that run.
No free reverses this time, if your tires turn more than 1/4" back its a reverse.
Bring your A game, would be nice to see a new winner.

Cool, I'd use the big rocks though to make something to drive on if you have them. The problem with little rocks is the course will change throughout the runs as people spin rocks out. It will be better though."thumbsup" As you already know elevation changes are always a plus. It's going to be hard to not run the same lines as last time through the concrete area. Maybe use some of the hills as off camber turns? Also maybe start at the top and crawl down then back around and up? You are also allowed tighter gates for 2.2 at 16" if you so choose. Just suggestions and or ideas. Last time the course was of decent difficultly, most people made it through, and it was definitly entertaining, and a good time by all.

I'll volunteer to help score again, if needed...

To the guys that struggled last time.
Swap to smaller pinions.
Get better driveshafts.
Lock your diffs.
Have a 1.5mm wrench ready.

Cool Greg and Cole are coming."thumbsup"

Last time I had the gates set between 20" and 22", I think this time I'm going to set them all right at 20". I was planning to put teh rock down and them put the large stuff over it...kind of hard to explain, we will see how much I get though because Im paying for it out of my own pocket. Also there will be at least 1 more elevation change.

I think the bridge will have to wait until we get to add on, then I have 2 planned. I picked up 400# of rock yesterday to hopefully bring some organization to the rock area.

Ready to go!

Got my truck all tightened up, and ready to go. I was wondering though Jet, is there a place my dad can put a folding chair? He lives down in IL, and wants to watch me rock crawl but is getting his knee replaced like a week after the Comp. If there could be a small spot saved for My dad I would really really appreciate it. Also last time I came down there you said my F350 body was really close to being too chopped down. I know you said tech would be stricter this time, so will I still be legal or should I bring a backup body for the truck?

Im sure we accomidate his chair, just need to make sure drivers and judges can get by without a problem.

Heres the 07 rules for bodies:

Legality of a body is to be determined by the event
judges. Judging guidelines are
as follows: 3” minimum height on sides. No more than 3” taken off total

length. No less than 12.5” total length and full width, or no less then 5" in the center

Im going to try not to be a "rule Nazi" but, I want to make sure everyone is playing within the specs. At the last comp the top 3 trucks were way within specs, there realy is no reason for anyone to be trying to push it to the limit. The things Ill be looking the closest at will be WB, Track width and Tuber specs, those are the things that realy effect how the rig performs. Lexan bodies can bend so much that you can run an untrimmed body and just have the tires bend the body (I do it on 2 of my trucks).

Are you guys not letting people run if their body is not within limits?

Mine is about 4 1/4" at the top of the cab, 5" if you include the gas cans...

As long as the cab is the original width door to door as it was when bought you should be OK, but if you narrow the passenger compartment that is where the problem is.
