Bought a set of gmade xd shocks and on the balls one fits snug and the plastic ones do not. I've tried all my rod end balls that I have and none of the are big enough to snap in they just go on through. The metal ball with the set works fine but the plastic balls just drop on through. Thanks for any insight you guys can give me

The rod end balls I have tried are traxxas revo, venom, redcat (which is way to small) and the axial ones I have

Mine did the exact same thing.
I just used a couple of small washers on each side of the pivot ball and a longer bolt with a locknut
so I could leave a little room for movement.
Seems to work just fine so far.

Same thing just mounted them and put a washer on the outside they don't snap in like the lower shock rod ends

same her, I put the flange side of the ball to the outside and a spacer that had a flange on the inside. no problems but use a lock nut so you don't have to tighten the nut down so tight that it crushes the ball and causes the ball to get tight in the shock.

I have done the same as above. Just a 3mm washer on the inside with nyloc nut outside on the flange.

The one's in this picture are Gmade Zero's but I did the same with my piggybacks. Just picked up some larger aluminum ones.

its normal...

put the ball joint in and add a small oring on each side with a washer on backside to keep oring from popping off.
it will allow the shock to move but not be loose feeling.

kinda like this..

hope that helps.

That's a good idea "thumbsup".

The other thing I have tried, but dont use now is some silicone nitro fuel hose. It's pretty soft, so lets the shock move easily.
