Need electric motor understanding.

i would like to use my x-factor tranny in a scale project i'm building, but i'm not sure how to go about what i'd like to do..

what i want is 2 electric motors driving the spur gear but still have the stock mechanical brakes( the XF has a one way clutch on the input shaft)

what electronics do i need??
how would i wire them in??

Helped a guy with this on a T-Maxx about 5 years ago.

Put the ESC and a servo to operate brakes on a "Y" harness.

Motors will drive the truck, servo wil bring it to a halt.

i've never used an esc before.. :?
would the y harness go from the esc to the servo??
would the motors still turn backwards with the one way clutch

The "V" portion of the "Y" harness goes to the ESC and servo.

The single plug goes to the RX.
