I know nothing about Vid Cams but I would like something clear, great color, slow motion a must and most of all user friendly. I have a SLR Nikon and I still haven't gotten it down. I looking for easy and good quality.

Hopefully something that does not kill the bank. I usually get stuff like this at best buy. "thumbsup"

GoPro HD cams are good, there small though and mostly ppl mount them on helmets or cars but ive seen ppl do some good video with rc's. There water proof and you can mount them on a pole or stick and then you can record all kinds of angles, plus they have almost any mount you want for diff applications. I just got the lcd bacpac for mine and love it. Check out some videos here http://gopro.com/products/?gclid=CIGXpoyj1agCFYi8KgodPyVYBw . I also have a Panasonic hd camcorder but seems like i use my gopro for most everything now.

Thankyou for the suggestion but wanted a spectator version, I am familiar with GoPro just not interested in that kind of deisign. I want to get some footage of MSD.

i love my gopro, i accidently flipped my slash at 50mph so the outer case has some road rash right where the lense is. still havent got a replacement case for it but shoots great video even without the lense cover. had it mounted to the side of my truck body as well.

I recently picked up a kodak Zi8 for 70 bucks. It does 1080 @ 30 FPS and 720 @ 60 FPS.
The newest version of it is the playsport. It's water proof down to ten feet, and is shock resistant.

I have a kodak playsport, waterproof to 3 meters, 60 fps great look, affordable. maybe not as high of quality as you might want but i would have one for a second view.

I have had several of those cheapo "gewing gum" style cams.

was on my RC helicopters and been on my drift car too!
two are on loan to a friend and the one i had I killed when i crashed my helicopter from 12 feet up onto concrete.

They record at low res though, but good in low light and in daylight its super clear.
I use windows movie maker to edit movies.

My vote is for the Kodak Playsport. It shoots in 720, 720(60) and 1080 and 'still' mode. It's small, it has a great viewing screen, the body has rubberized grips and it's WATERPROOF!! I got mine off of Amazon for $130 w/ the accessory pack ( 4G card, remote control, Gorilla Grip tripod and all of the cables you will need)

If you want slow motion you have to go with the Casio Exilim Series. You can record at several different fps's (generally 120fps,240fps,420fps, and 1000fps.) The footage is amazing- being able to slow down to the different frame rates can really make r/c footage look uncannily realistic. There's really not another line of cameras out there in the consumer/prosumer range with these type of slow motion capabilities. I'd take a look at the FH100 in particular, as well as the fh25,fc100,fc150, and fs10.

I've got the FH100- here's some footage I've shot over the last few months:

Heres a small video of a guy using a gopro hd on his rc in real speed and slow mohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xFWpBe8AoI . Not sure if ur wanting to film the rc or film on the rc if you want both gopro is for sure the best with all the options you have and accessories they have and mounts.

I also have one of these and they work great, But they hate Vibration other than that they are cheap and fun.
