I want to start by saying I have an SCX10 Dingo kit, and another 2.2 trail truck, but I want a rock racer/bouncer. I already have the electronics to go in it (Holmes 3500kv sensored 4 pole, and either an 80A or 120A ESC) so I'm not looking for a RTR.

I was looking at the Element Enduro Gatekeeper, but the CG appears to be very high. I've also been looking at the Redcat Wendigo kit. At this point I've over-researched and watch so many review vids that I need some guidance/direction.

I'll be using this rig primarily as a basher by rivers and reservoirs so there is the possibility of trail driving and easy crawling.

I doubt there is still a Axial RR10 as a kit available. That might be yours. Straight axels don't offer best turning. But it is a basis with a lot of options for upgrades.

Kit?

You are not going to find many... As far as Rock Racer, I think of The Axial Bomber(based on the actual U4 Bomber chassis) Or the Losi Lazernut( based on the actual lasernut U4)
Both are rtr's and both have their strength and weaknesses.

That's part of the issue I'm running into. There's not a lot of builder's kits out there anymore.

What are your thoughts on the G-Made Gom?

I have a GOM, it's been a great truck. I use it mostly for slow speed crawling, however. I got mine as a kit and did a few of the aluminum upgrades during the original build. I would highly recommend it.

One downside to it, is its a bit more of a niche truck than something like an Axial, so the aftermarket support is not the same.

Heres mine:
