so im makin a tube frame for my friends little bro. im good with metal work, but what type of metal should i use, steel, alum., brass? and do i solder it, cause i dont have access to a welder and what do i need to solder it because i have a butane torch. anyways thanks

brazing would be the most cost effective and easiest way, I use a MAPP torch, and Harris safety silv brazing rod/flux.

steel brake line from an auto parts store is the way to go for cheap tubing... although solid rod and other kinds of tube can be used with success.

You mean solid rod? 1/8 is popular, 3/16 is also good, but it'll be heavy. Brakeline is usually 3/16, just be sure to wire-wheel it first to get the coating off, its not good to breath the fumes.
