I'm doing a rat rod body for a truck and want to have it rusty. I am using a lexan body and don't like painting them on the outside. So, anyone have tips, tricks, or a link to a tutorial on how to do realistic rust on the inside?

I use Fascolor/Createx/Wicked paints if that matters.

I have done a few bodies with rust. the first i did inside the lexan. i just painted the rust on in reverse. I masked out the windows and then panted like the light orange flecks first working my way back to the darker areas. then i painted the silver by hand backing the pipes . after that it was a matter of spraying the final color.

I know you don't want to paint on the outside but theres a 2 part rusting paint you can get from the craft store. theres a few trucks in some of the builds on the forum that have other ways to paint rust and s few that use the 2 part method too. lots of great ideas on the forum. heres just a few ive done on the outside.
the rust is the only paint on the outside of some of these. the rest is done inside. give the rust a more real look cause its not glossy like the paint.
