I have been looking for a Laptop for some time. I want something that I can upgrade later if need be. But I really just need something that I can take on Vacations and other outings. Something that I can check orders status and get online. It won't have any large programs or games of any kind on it. At the most is will have PhotoShop CS2, but that it.....Would a 20G Hard drive cover that? I would think it would no Problem....Here is a Laptop I have been looking at.

I like it for the touch screen. I hate the touch screen mouse pads or the Numb that sticks in the middle of the keypad. Plus alot of times you don't have room to plug a Mouse in. So the touch screen would be sweet. But I have never heard of this company making Computers just Camera's and such.

We use Fujitsu Lifebooks here at work. They are T4010's. They're pretty nice... light and small. They're not very durable though, at least the ones with the swivelling screens.
The price seems too high for a P3. You should be able to pick up a decent P4 for about the same amount.
I bought a Dell Latitude C840 (similar to Mr. Chevy's Inspiron) during our last refresh. These things are bricks. Nice 15" screen, P4 2.2Ghz, 1gb RAM, 40GB HDD. The only downside is the weight. No touchscreen though. Very easy to work on however, and Dell even has repair manuals online. The Fujitsu's are a royal pain to repair.

if you just need somthing basic you can get new ones for 500, maybe a little less. they would be fine for just checking orders/online stuff. check dell, circuit city or best buy.

Ya I don't need the swivelling screen....I just like the thought of the touch screen.

we have it good in CT. there is the pratt and whitney store that sells off all there old stuff. you can get a decent laptop for around $200.

Touch pads are REALLY easy to get used to. Honestly, they really are.

I run "my computer" (as opposed to the wife's) direct here in the living room, mounted at the end of the sofa. Due to space constraints, I ran a laptop here for years, and got used to the touch pad pretty quickly. I didn't think I would, because before that, I hated them. When I later upgraded, I switched over to a WC Tower sitting on the floor hidden, but I still use a mini keyboard (and flatscreen) with a touch pad. I am right handed, and honestly "left stupid!!!!" But I now run my computer completely using my left hand on a touch pad.

With just a little practice, they become second nature.

With that said though, a USB mini-mouse will easily plug into any laptop, and use little room.

Don't be scared of normal laptops because of the touch pad. But I will agree with you, to this day, I HATE the little "pencil eraser" in the middle of the keyboard!! My laptop had one along with the touch pad, and I could never get used to the eraser.
