New bodies

Another cliché “Axial leak”. They’ll deny everything right up until the hour it’s officially released. All we have so far is the catalog pic. I’ll say this. They better do something about the pricing because as it sits now, for $10 more on Amazon you can get a TRX 4 with 2 speed, portals, remote locking diffs, better scale details on the body, WAAAAY better shocks, inner fenders, etc. I know this isn’t a thread about the TRX, my point is the new 10.2 trucks need to be priced much more competitively. And don’t tell me about licensing either. I can put any one of a dozen choices of bodies I want on any of these trucks so I don’t need to pay for Axial’s costly licensing agreements.

Try not to listen to all the crap you hear from some people on here/facebook. I see a lot of it reflected in your response which is surprising. You typically are very well informed and extremely helpful to other members on the forum. I know its hard not to get wrapped up in all the BS as Axial has hit a few bumps in the road this year. These new SCX10's are a sign of things picking up and looking positive.

Axial does not leak product through tower. Never has. Its out of their hands.

No product currently in the Axial line is being made in China. Its all made in Taiwan. After working with these vendors for nearly 10 years they are some of the best in the business.

The TRX is a great rig, I have one sitting here. Nothing negative to say about it other than my own personal opinions on a few things that are simply cosmetic. If you take a look at the pricing on the new Honcho its dropped vs the original SCX10 Honcho. The SCX II has many features that are more expensive, all the cost cutting that is happening is evident in the fact that the new honcho will be cheaper, and thats a great thing "thumbsup" In my opinion the Honcho and Deadbolt are 2 of the most iconic Axial SCX10's.

Plus, we all well know that Axial just moved all of its manufacturing to slave labor in China so the prices on these things should drop dramatically, I sure hope quality doesn’t.

Well said Brandon. I for one, am hugely stoked that the Honcho is making a return.

I stand corrected. I was being informed, by more than one source, that manufacturing and assembly had been moved to China. My LHS owner stated that he got this info directly from his Axial rep. I’m not sure where the wires got crossed but I’m certainly glad to hear that this is not true. There are also sellers on eBay echoing this misinformation stating that they are selling replica Axial parts that are made in the same factories with the same material and to the same specifications as before Axial “pulled out”. Again, if this is not true then I am certainly glad to be corrected. Thanks Brandon. I will try to set the record straight where I can now that I got it directly from the horses mouth. "thumbsup"

So since it states that a couple are “new” I wonder if they are stepping up the body game or just new graphics? I keeping my fingers crossed for some more scale body options!

More jeeps Huh, does axial marketing even look at the truck sales in the US? Jeep doesn't even make it into the top ten best selling vehicle.

How many full size F-series trucks do you see on the trail?

While Jeep might not have a vehicle in the top ten, they have three in the top 25. All of which would be seen actually doing duty off-road. Full-size pickups sell so well because contractors and people who like to help friends move.
