Hey guys I just picked up a set of the new Proline 2.2 Flat Iron XL's from Proline Headquarters today and I must say, they are awesome! Nice and sticky!
It's going to be a great U4RC tire and give the competition a run for its money! "thumbsup"
I also picked up a set of their new 2.2 Faultline 6 lug BL wheels, they are a 3 piece bead lock and seem to hold the bead very well and it was very easy to mount tires.;-)

the tyres look a whole lot beefier than the standard axial ones u get with the scx10's. are these a softer compound compared to the ones that come out on the axial kits?

SCX10's come with 1.9 tires. There is a 1.9 xl version of the flat iron, maybe you are confused. The kits come with r35 compound tires, the PL uses g8. PL compound is superior, but I have no issues with r35 either.

The older SCX10's came with Flat irons back a few years ago. Pretty good tires I thought.

Yes they are a lot softer and sticker than the M2 compound that came with the kits.

That combo looks great! Keep us posted on how they perform.

Thanks! They did great this past Sunday at our series finally race, I've tried them all (U4 tires that are out there) and I'm telling you, these out perform the rest,
hands down, the tires worked everywhere I needed them to work!

What foams were you using?

Any updates? Holding up for you? Looking to replace some worn (and well deserving of rest) TSL's and looking at XL versions of TSL's or these. Can't decide...
