Looking to step up from RTR radio systems on my rigs. I'm not sure where to start. I loved my old M8 for racing back in the day but finding a 2.4 ghz module for it has been next to impossible. Looking at the options I'm leaning towards the following:

Futaba 4PLS
Airtronics MT-4
Spektrum DX4S

I am also considering a hacked Flysky GT-3C, this is by far the cheapest radio of the bunch and receivers are cheaper than any of the other brands.

Someone help me out here.

You can't beat the Airtronics MT4!

Seeing a Bomber and a Yeti in your Sig, the throttle and steering response is awesome!
The screen is easy to read, navigate, and setup. No antenna to break, fits the hand great, and feels like quality in hand..

Out of the TX's you listed MT4 is IMO the best pick, followed by the Futaba.

Spektrum, not so much. Horizon does have awesome customer service though, with the stuff they sell they need it.
