I know alot of you lads are against fully independent suspension for crawling, but i've gotta say... wow, the revo can really crawl. It seems like it would be a pretty good buy for someone who wants it all... bashing, racing, and crawling, for a good budget.

What do you guys think about this?

Yup, I made a clone of the revo seen on traxxas' website, right now it is in crawling form but give about 2 hours and I can be ready to race or bash. And I only have a little under $700 into it. :flipoff:

Got any pics? I just want to see someone else's.. other than the traxxas one.. :)

I started out with an Xfactor.
It used to outcrawl(rock racing style) many, many txt's and clods!

actually, i think it'll be easy for a revo to crawl. There's many gearing options, and many different engines for power.

It's not like the x-factor, where you can't touch the throttle w/out flipping it on its back.

The travel is good, the gearing CAN be good(if you know what you're doing), it is a low cg BUT w/ a high ride height... it's perfect. So you know what. :flipoff:

When the thing`s done, I`d like to put it in a tug o truck war against another truck just for kicks.
BTW:How much does yours weigh, what tires does it got, and whats the specs?
I`ll tell you mine if you tell me yours  .

I have a TLT like that. But see, I can be ready to bash/race in one hour and I spent half of what you did, and my TLT can actually crawl instead of rock hop. :flipoff:

The revo on Traxxas' site can't crawl. Watch the video again, it falls off the rocks or pushes them to the side. Plus it is always going down hill.

and the vid is mostly slow motion, to make it looks like it's crawling! NIce try Traxxas! I have to say...the rig looks cool over all but us crawlers know that it ain't a hard core rig. I don't think that they are proclaiming that it is a competitive crawler either though.
