Hey all,

I have a serious car addiction. If I was rich I would be a collector, but since I am not, I buy them used, keep them a while and then trade for the next one. I have owned Jeep YJ, XJ, JK, WJ, Nissan Pathfinder, Nissan pickup, Isuzu Trooper, and more I have probably forgotten. I currently have a 2008 Toyota 4Runner 4th Gen V8, a 1976 Ford 100 (not running), and a 2008 Ford F150. I also like sporty cars and have had too many to mention, but that's for another forum.

I recently discovered RC scale model building and I am fascinated! I would love to recreate some of my favorite cars from my past. I have no RC experience. I have had an interest in model trains, mainly in building scenery, but havent gotten into that yet.

I have some minor electrical, mechanical, and carpentry skills. I want to learn about 3D printing as well.

I was thinking of starting with a ready to go kit for under $500. I want something quality that I can customize. I was thinking of getting a kit with IFS so I can model my current 4Runner eventually? But to start, maybe JK or Bronco model.

I am sorry for the long winded intro but I am happy to have found this forum and would appreciate any recommendations!
