Fashionably late to the party?

I'll let the pics do the talking... leaked at the Nuremberg toy fair this week.

Better Pics here, including one of the chassis:

Well, I don't care if the are late. If it looks reasonable scale and can take a beating like their typical basher it would be something I would consider.

Think Traxxas finally have got their eyes open for scale rigs..

Bigfoot is allready out, and later in the spring the GT40 comes on a new 4Tec 2.0 chassis.

Better late than never "thumbsup""thumbsup"

3 mini servos? Two with cables I would say are for diff lockers and the third is for a two speed. Same setup as the summit I would guess. I loved those functions on my summit. Regret I traded that away.

I agree that it looks like it could have portal axles too along with cms. And that small plug strip in one pic on the lower right looks like it could be pre-wired to plug in lighs.

This could be shaping up to be a must have for my collection:

Portals - check
Defender body - check
Summit drivetrain capabilities - check

And it it is coming from traxxas - big check $$$$$ :-)

Well Vp gonna need to make some better looking axle housings. :ror:
They're no worse looking than the SCX10 II axles with the flaming red diff cover.

Interesting. I'll believe it when I see it on the market. It definitely has interesting ideas though.

I just wish it was a new body not a Land Rover.

If Traxxas releases this before the HPI Venture FJ Cruiser they're going to steal the thunder of that truck.

I agree but I don't like the stock scx2 housing either.

I forgot to expand on my thoughts. This looks like a custom build from Traxxas parts. It doesn't look like something Traxxas is going to make. Land Rover body instead of Ford is the first hint. The Axial looking fender flares are another. Third is that is on a European website with pricing.

The release date for the Venture is still a year out, poor Hpi... I bet we see this scaler with in the next 6 months.
