New Ultra soft Leafsprings from rc4wd

Not that many TF2 runners, so it may take a bit for folks to chime in. Not that great of a performer....

Red springs are labeled as super soft, same as the Marlin spring pack.

When I need to order a replacement set, I will give them a shot. Typically I run a Marlin main with Amazon leaf spring kit, helper leafs. It would be nice if I could buy one kit and make it work.

After last night, I'm not a fan of these new springs. I wanted to install them on one of my TF2 chassis that has the original leafs. I also installed the shackle reverse kit up front, a while back.

The new springs are definitely softer, and the main spring is two ultra thin springs with large eyes that are doubled back on themselves...with leaf clamp strips also. The kit includes brass eye bushings that are flanged on one side, which makes them too wide to fit the front mount and pretty tight on the shackle end too. I pulled the bushings out just to mock them up (still too wide for the mount) and see the if the flex was better. I think these springs are just a tad bit shorter, because they kept flipping the shackles back inside the arch. With 50 or 60mm shocks they might be marginally ok, by limiting the amount of down travel, but I'm using 70mm shocks with the G2 shock hoops. With some grinding with my Dremel, I could probably get them to work, but I shouldn't have to. The only good thing I found with this kit, the add on leafs are super soft so they could replace some of the leafs in the older, stiffer springs.

Unless I've missed something in the installation, these are a NO-GO for now. I've been building for a while so I don't think my skills are off, but these could use some work. Hope this helps someone else. If someone has some other input, on how these should work, I'm open to suggestions.

I agree...I didn't like the angle so much on my other TF2, that I converted it back to the original straight shackle mount.

Did a quick fitment test in the standard mounts and shackles and it seems that they can work there, but will need a little "massaging" of the mounts to fit them in. As for the reverse mounting system, in the front...they are not a "bolt-in". Some work would be needed to get them in.
