Newb to rccrawler newbright jk dual motor 3s scx10 ongoing build

Wheelbase is 13 7/8" (35.24cm)with most of the stretch out back to keep my weight distribution over the front end. Means the rear driveshaft is 6 5/8" (168.25mm)

Man that's one cool rig. I've been looking into beefing up my motor, I may have to try the dual motor mod myself.

May not be the ideal place for this question, is there a "better" bias front of rear to lengthen the 4 link? Longer fronts vs rears? Suppose its only preference on c.o.g.?

Thanks to this thread I just ordered the Dual motor mount. Doea anyone have dual motors on the RC4WD 2 speed tranny? That would be sweet.

I really like the weight just back behind the axles. Its also way easier to stretch the back out because of the frame layout. And the holes are already in the frame to move the rear shock towers back. Its cazy the steep climbs that a long wheelbase rig can go up without rolling over backwards.

That would work but really pricy!ive also heard those punisher shafts wear the knuckles out quite quickly. Its like $15 for a pack of axial wb shafts and pin rebuild kit and thats like 6 of the shafts i have that have never broke. I just welded the one pin because the hobby shop wasn open. Lol i think if i were in serious need for metal shafts i would do exactly what i did but with mip shafts with a floating male in the center. It would be the same price for 4 mips as two of the punishers and i would have spare parts but i appreciate your help.

Dual motors is the best upgrade i have done. It allows high gearing and speed with low motor temps with smooth low end and amazing torque. I run on 3s and 2s and power and speed is very close to my friends novak brushless sensored but is way smoother on the low end. I run one esc and have convinced 3 other of my buds to run dual after trying mine all with no esc problems. We just run a fan to be safe. Do it! Youll be happy you did.

I have a pair of Turnigy 35T lathe motors. Do you think running them on 4s is too much, or should I go 3s?

Are you just running the motors to the single ESC in parallel? I thought about doing this set up for a really heavy rig I have, but didn't want to invest in a dual motor esc.

Ive never run my dual 27s at more than 3s its usually more than adequate. But all i can say is try it and let us know? Have you run it yet on 3s? Is it not enough?

Still building...I'm not even close to running it yet. It'll be a few more weeks. All I know is this...I want to run two lipo's in parallel and I know where I want to mount them. Do you happen to know what the rpm difference is between a 27T and 35T?

K so might not be exact but 35t = 1565rpm/volt and 27t=2100rpm/volt so...
At a 4v/cell average
35t on 4s = 25,040 rpm
27t on 3s = 25,200 rpm
Hope thats what you wanted. Motor specs were taken from holmes hobbies motors so are not exact to our application but close enough

Craaaaaash tonight! Took a good tumble at the beach and totaled my newbright!
