Nic Case is first to break 200 MPH with an R/C car

I remember his last big news car. Custom pinion gear that was almost the same tooth count as the spur. He used to use regular off the shelf castle products too. Im waiting for under hood shots.

Volt up, gear up!

Article said something about "off the shelf electronics." I'm curious, as well.

Who would have thought ten years ago an electric rc car would achieve 200+mph.
I recall when he was around 160mph some years back, I guess it was justr a matter of time. "thumbsup"

One of my LHS has a custom build of a cut alu chassis with HPI suspension up front, and somethin else out back....it uses dual 1717s both have a custom pinion same size as the drive gear lol..crazy shit. Owner said he has had it up to 145mph but it keeps blowin the tires off...literally shredding them from the power ..8S each ESC. He has tried steel belted and gave up on it..just sits on display now..

I'll have to get a pic...one day

Sent from a whiskey downer beer pounder's shop

I remember when Cliff Lett was blowing tires up in the early 90's doing speed runs that were still under 100 mph and powered by NiCd's and a brushed motor. :lmao:
